UPF launches AI tool to speed up resolution of personal insolvency cases
According to the article, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), together with judicial and governmental institutions, is launching an AI assistant to accelerate personal insolvency procedures. The platform can reduce processing time from about two weeks to just two minutes by organizing documentation, summarizing case files, detecting missing information and generating draft filings — always under human supervision. The pilot, currently using around 3,000 anonymised cases, could be deployed in Catalan courts by 2026.
