As part of the European JuLIA project ("Justice, Fundamental Rights and Artificial Intelligence") we invite you to join our interactive workshop (Justice Lab) that aims to foster dialogue between justice professionals, researchers, and experts, including those from non-legal sectors.
The Justice Lab on Artificial Intelligence and Automated Decision-Making in Judicial Work, organised by Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Judicial School of the General Council of the Judiciary within the framework of the JuLIA Project, will be held online. The seminar aims to explore the use of artificial intelligence in judicial decision-making, opening a space for discussion on key issues related to the judiciary and the rule of law.
In particular, the Justice Lab will provide an overview of the European regulatory landscape and will address the risks, challenges, and legitimacy of using such tools, with special attention to the protection of fundamental rights.
The Workshop will take place on December 14th, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM in a virtual format and the event will be held entirely in Spanish.

Inteligencia artificial y decisiones automatizadas en la labor jurisdiccional
El Justice Lab Inteligencia artificial y decisiones automatizadas en la labor jurisdiccional organizado por la Universitat Pompeu Fabra y la Escuela Judicial del Consejo General del Poder Judicial en el marco del Proyecto JuLIA el seminario, que tendrá lugar en formato online, pretende abordar el uso de la inteligencia artificial en la toma de decisiones judiciales para abrir un debate sobre algunos aspectos cruciales de la jurisdicción y el Estado de Derecho.
En especial el Justice Lab proporcionará una perspectiva al mapa normativo Europeo y planteará los riesgos, retos y legitimidad del uso de estos instrumentos con especial atención a las garantías de los derechos fundamentales.
