Ana Elisabete Ferreira

Ana Elisabete Ferreira is a Collaborator Researcher at University of Coimbra Institute for Legal Research. She is also a lawyer, practicing in medical and social Law, and assistant professor at the Polytechnic University of Leiria.

Currently, she is an elected member of local government, as councilor for Education, Health and Social Welfare. She has a PhD. in Bioethics – Philosophy and Ethics, and a post-doctoral program in Law and Technology. She has been part of ONCONET SUDOE – Interreg Project, and World Health Organization project “The Ethics of Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response”. Further fields of interest include Bioethical Issues, Fundamental Rights, Social Philosophy, and Critical Legal Studies.
